Honey Haus

Greetings, Earthlings. Last Saturday the Nomad Gallery in LA hosted an all female art show, Honey Haus, featuring 17 artists focusing on DIY culture combined with photography and painting. I’m stoked to have been asked to be a part of it (thanks, Amanda!) and work alongside these truly awesome women.. and SUPER honored by the turnout for the night and all of the kind words and good vibes. Surrounded by an array of mediums, from live balloon art to skateboard art and your not-so-typical embroidery, it was for sure my best night of 2014 so far, and the best dance party of the year I’ve witnessed too. So, cheers buds, to encouraging self-expression and creativity, and of course to some good ol’ fashioned girl power.

A glimpse of the night, starting with Balloon Master and homie for life, Susan Kounlavongsa:

BEER ME!

The woman behind the evening, Amanda Brown:

Yours Truly, keepin’ it weird.

Yui Fukunaga:

And saving my best bud for last, embroidery bad bitch Sharnae Caceres.

GroOovy tunes spinnin all night long from DJ’s Yasi, of the radical Cultist zine <– check it!, Allie Ihm, Tuna Tardugno & Jen of Bleached.

Til next time!
