OBEY ART SPACE AMSTERDAM: FLOOR VAN HET NEDEREND X COODRE SCULPTURE RELEASE

We are very proud to announce our very first show at our pop up gallery space in Amsterdam, opening this Friday at the OBEY Art Space by Floor van het Nederend and Coodre.

Floor van het Nederend is an Amsterdam based artist, best known for his illustrations and paintings of Malvin the Cat. You might know Floor as well for his Artist Series he did for OBEY Clothing a few years back. 

For this exposition Floor teamed up with sculptor Coodre to make a limited series of handcrafted ' Malvin the Cat' statues. The Statues are sculpted by Coodre, a Dutch artist with a background in illustration, using different techniques  and materials for his custom-made sculptures. 

Each piece is hand-painted and has a matte finish. The box includes an exclusive linoleum printed certificate, signed and numbered by Floor and Coodre. The Statue comes in a limited edition of 25 and is 12" tall and 8" wide (30cm x 21 cm).Next to the sculpture, Floor will show some of his latest paintings and drawings. To celebrate this all, OBEY will release a limited run of Floor x Coodre tee's.

The sculpture and the tee's will be for sale this weekend, starting Friday,  at the OBEY Art Space and through the OBEY clothing webstore.

The release will be on Friday, June 28, 16:00 - 22:00 at OBEY Art Space. Barentszstraat 317, Amsterdam. The exposition will be open on June 29 and June 30, 13:00 - 17:00.
