VIVA DA VEGAS

My crew and I just completed the largest art mural in Las Vegas on the side of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. The title of the mural is “Cultivate Harmony” and the imagery is meant to have decorative appeal, but also to remind people that peace and harmony with each other and the planet itself are the only way to maintain what sustains us. The project was facilitated by the owners of the Plaza, the Zabludowicz family, who are art patrons, as well as the folks from the Justkids agency and the Life is Beautiful festival. The mural is 17 or 18 stories high and visible from many vantage points in Downtown, Las Vegas. Working on a piece this scale is very grueling no matter what, but especially because Vegas was unusually cold, and often windy, for 5 out of 6 of the days we were working. I’m very grateful for the hard work of Nic Bowers, Dan Flores, and Rob Zagula who assisted me.
